18 days / 17 nights


Day 1 : Arrival in Windhoek International Airport where you will be met by your guide. Transfer to the Elegant Guesthouse or similar. City tour of Windhoek, city of many contrasts.

Day 2 : Drive via Rehoboth, the centre of Namibia’s Baster community, into the red dunes of the Kalahari Desert to the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Lodge where you will participate in a guided game drive.

Days 3 & 4 : Drive to South through the desert-dominated landscapes to a picturesque Quiver Tree Forest. Drive via Keetmanshoop to the Fish River Canyon, where you will stay 2 nights at the Canon Lodge. Enjoy the spectacular northern fringes of the Fish River Canyon from various vantage points.

Days 5 & 6 : Visit the small historic village of Aus, and discover Namibia’s Diamond Coast of Lüderitz with an excursion to the Diaz cross.  Visit the ghost town of Kolmanskop. 2 nights at the Nest Hotel or similar.

Day 7 : Drive via Aus and Helmeringhausen to Farm Namtib where you will experience a daily life of a farmer in the South.
1 night at Farm Namtib.

Days 8 & 9 : Drive through some of Namibia’ most spectacular sceneries to Sossusvlei – a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world – and to Sesriem Cayon.
2 nights at Desert Homestead & Horestrails lodge.

Days 10 & 11 : Enjoy the drive via the Kuiseb Cayon, the “Moon Landscape” and Welwitschia plains till Swakopmund. Discover this old-world charm and relaxed atmosphere hedged by sea and desert, followed by a dolphin cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon.
2 nights at the Central Guesthouse.

Days 12 & 13 : Drive along the Atlantic Coast, via Henties Bay till Cape Cross where you will meet the seals. Continue your journey via Ugabmund to the southern Skeleton Coast Park to inspect a shipwreck. Experience the harsh transition from the Namib Desert to the Damaraland highlands with its impressive landscape and ragged valleys.
2 nights at Grootberg Lodge where you will experience a rhino tracking excursion.

Days 14, 15 and 16 : Travel via the Grootberg Pass and Kamanjab to the Etosha National Park.
Spend the days doing game drives, visiting the numerous waterholes that attract a large diversity of animal and bird species and discover the mysteries of the African bush.
1 night at the Okaukuejo rest camp and 2 nights in the Mushara Bush Camp.

Day 17 : Continue to the Okonjiima Lodge, home of the Africat foundation, a non profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and protection of Namibian wild cats, in particular leopard and cheetah. Enjoy the opportunity to admire and photograph these predators.
1 night at Okonjima Lodge.

Day 18 : Return to Windhoek, via Okahandja, an important centre for woodcarvers.
